Senator Bob Casey (Pa.) paid a visit to Wilkes University on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 16. He met with President Greg Cant, toured the campus, chatted with students in the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and dropped in on a class taught by Ben Toll, assistant professor of political science.
“Senator Casey’s visit was a great opportunity for students to learn from his years of public service. His experience gives him credibility to answer questions about what it is like to serve in this capacity,” said Dr. Toll. “Students enjoyed sitting in a small group and hearing his thoughts on being from the region, and the opportunities available to young people today.”
Senator Casey also spoke with a student-reporter from The Beacon, the weekly student newspaper.
