Phi Theta Kappa Recognizes Wilkes University for Outstanding Service to Transfer Students

by Kelly Clisham

The international Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) named Wilkes University to its 2023 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of its service, support and friendliness to transfer students.

The Transfer Honor Roll is measured by 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life for transfer students, admission practices and bachelor’s degree completion. The Transfer Honor Roll was based on analysis from the National Student Clearinghouse, and on data submitted through Wilkes University’s profile on PTK Connect, Phi Theta Kappa’s online tool designed to help students find their best fit college and career pathways.

Colleges named to the Transfer Honor Roll are among the top 25 percent highest-rated colleges in the country. Spotlighted at the 2023 American Council on Education (ACE) conference, the Transfer Honor Roll recognizes the importance of creating strong transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students.

“The transfer team at Wilkes takes great pleasure in working with each transfer student individually to help them on their educational journey,” says Amy Patton, associate director of transfer admissions.
