Landon Bordner, a Wilkes University PharmD/MBA student from Williamstown, Pennsylvania, was elected Region 2 Delegate for the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) in January 2021.

Region 2 of the APhA-ASP covers Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. As the delegate, Bordner will work to promote policy and advocacy activities in the region and help member chapters of the organization increase communication.

As one of only eight delegates in the U.S., Bordner will have the opportunity to impact the future of pharmacy through legislative advocacy while interacting with students and pharmacists from across the nation.

Bordner serves as a community pharmacy intern at CVS Pharmacy, where he manages and oversees medication inventory, ordering and organization of medication bays. He trains and oversees onboarding for pharmacy technicians.

As part of the COVID-19 response, Bordner administers testing at CVS and participates in vaccine clinics at long-term care facilities.

Bordner also holds a research internship with MPJE Made Easy creating mock pharmacy law exam questions, contributing to study manuals and assisting with the development of pharmacy law navigational guides.

At Wilkes, Bordner has earned Dean’s List honors and received the Dean Scholarship and Provost’s Letter of Academic Distinction. He was inducted into the Beta Psi chapter of the Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy leadership society and is a member of the Kappa Psi Delta Omicron pharmacy fraternity.

Bordner is on track to graduate in 2022 with his dual PharmD/MBA. Post-graduation he hopes to pursue a law degree or PGY-1 residency.
