Noteworthy: Podlesney notes both academic and athletic achievements. She was named the outstanding graduate in 2020 for the Passan School of Nursing. She also says, “My most noteworthy experience at Wilkes was playing in the MAC playoffs with my softball team. It is such an honor to represent my university as a student athlete! We have worked so hard to build our program and to see it play out in a playoff setting is so humbling!”

Favorite part of the Wilkes experience: “My favorite thing about Wilkes are the people I met here, whether they were students, professors, coaches, or other staff members. Everyone works so hard to make sure the students are well taken care of, well educated, and safe. The friends I made here are now considered part of my family and the connections I’ve made will be carried on throughout the rest of my life!”

Future plans: “I have accepted a job at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Hazleton as a graduate labor and delivery nurse. I plan to continue my education and become a family nurse practitioner.”
