As a prelude to the Sordoni Art Gallery at Wilkes University exhibition, Two Presidents, One Photographer, legendary White House photographer Pete Souza visited campus on Oct. 15. As part of his visit, Souza met with members of the Wilkes Honors Program for a private question-and-answer session.
Students asked questions ranging from how he became the White House photographer to the differences between working with the Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama administrations. Souza gave insight on famous photographs during his time in the White House as well as personal experiences on Air Force 1.
Following the student session, Souza also had a private meet and greet with Sordoni Art Gallery members. At 7 p.m., he delivered a lecture to members of the campus community at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center.
