Join the Multicultural Student Coalition (MSC) and Black Student Union (BSU) for an interactive and thought-provoking event led by Africana Studies minor director, Dr. Chris Kovats-Bernat. Together, we’ll explore the concept of double consciousness—the tension of balancing multiple identities and how we present ourselves in different spaces.
As Dr. Kovats-Bernat educates and guides discussion, participants will decorate their own masks using provided art supplies to represent the “masks” we wear in society. This creative reflection invites you to express your identity, authenticity, and self-awareness through art and conversation.
Come ready to learn, create, and connect.
