2023 O’Hop Final Word Lecture

The O’Hop Final Word Lecture is an annual presentation by a faculty member whose research and scholarship reflects exceptional achievement in a particular field.
The Research and Scholarship Committee will review submissions and select the 2023 O’Hop Final Word lecturer. The lecturer will be announced at the April 2023 Faculty Meeting. The proposals will be judged on the degree to which they propose a lecture of keen scholarly insight, innovative thinking, and accessibility to a broad audience of colleagues. The lecture should be 30 minutes in length and address in non-technical language the applicant’s disciplinary research interests or may speak to broader themes in higher education.
The 2023 O’Hop Final Word Lecturer will receive an honorarium of $1,000 and a plaque noting the date and title of the lecture. A copy of the lecture will be posted on the Wilkes University web site.
Funding for the Final Word Lecture is underwritten through a generous endowment gift from former Wilkes University vice-president Paul O’Hop.
