This holiday season, Wilkes University’s Division of Performing Arts is excited to present a variety of concerts showcasing vocal, orchestral, band and jazz performances. Free and open to the public, the performances run from Nov. 23 – Dec. 7, 2025, at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Pro-Cathedral. Experience a powerful afternoon of sacred music as the Wilkes University Chorus joins The Choral Society of Northeast Pennsylvania in a presentation of Duruflé’s Requiem. This moving performance will feature a full orchestra and guest soloists in a stirring presentation of Maurice Duruflé’s timeless masterwork. The program also includes Elaine Hagenberg’s luminous piece Illuminare and the world premiere of a newly commissioned work, O Lord, Support Us. Together, these selections offer an afternoon of reflection, inspiration and transcendent beauty. A reception will follow the concert.
My Flight for Heaven

Join the Wilkes University Chamber Singers as they present their fall program titled My Flight For Heaven. Centered around Herbert Howells’ famous Requiem, we offer other pieces that reflect and meditate on the passing of loved ones, but also the celebration of life and lives well lived. Featuring other works by Cecilia McDowall, Moses Hogan, Robert Pearsall and Arthur Sullivan. Join us for an afternoon of transcendent music that will stir the emotions and lift the spirit in the stunning acoustics of St. Stephen’s pro-cathedral.
