Wilkes University Welcomes Interim Chief Financial Officer Arthur D. Glass II

Wilkes University announced today that Arthur D. Glass II, MBA, CPA will join the University as interim chief financial officer. 

Glass brings more than 26 years of leadership experience in higher education finance and administration. His areas of responsibility have encompassed human resources, business operations, procurement and contracts, information technology, treasury and debt management, facilities, safety and security, risk management and auxiliary services. Throughout his career, Glass has administered operating and capital budgets ranging from $55–$130 million and managed endowments of $30–$90 million.

“I am pleased to welcome Arthur to the Wilkes community and congratulate him on his interim appointment” said President Greg Cant. “His leadership and extensive experience in higher education will be of great benefit to Wilkes as we continue our commitments to strategic growth and responsible financial stewardship.”

“As a first generation college graduate, I have always enjoyed being in a position to change lives for the better,” said Glass. “Becoming a part of Wilkes gives me this opportunity and I look forward to working with everyone to advance the University’s mission.”

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army Finance Corps, Glass served for 20 years in various assignments in the United States and Europe. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, a master of business administration degree from the University of Baltimore, and is a licensed CPA in New York.

Glass will serve as interim chief financial officer through May 2026.
