The Wilkes University community took steps together to spread awareness about alcohol and drug use. With National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week running from Oct. 15-21, our staff, students and faculty joined to promote responsibility and healthy choices regarding alcohol.

Representatives of Northeast Highway Safety and Wyoming Valley Drug and Alcohol Services came to the Henry Student Center on Monday, Oct. 23, to share information on alcohol and drug awareness.

Members of the campus community took the lead on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the annual BACCHUS Alcohol Awareness Walk. The one-mile walk began at noon at the Fenner Quadrangle, where students received a free t-shirt, continued across the bridge to Kirby Park and wrapped up on campus. Participants enjoyed lunch following the walk.
