Wilkes University will hold Earth and Environmental Science Day for high school students on Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The program gives teachers and students in grades nine through 12 the opportunity to join faculty experts for hands-on, interactive lab activities and presentations on topics including gravity anomalies, climate change, leaky pipes, water quality, watersheds and the impact of weather. Participants can check out labs in the Cohen Science Center and explore career opportunities in the geosciences.
Earth and Environmental Science Day also features a special track for parents and guardians to learn more about the admissions process, financial aid and life on campus.
Teachers may register and bring their classes. Or students may register with their parents/guardians as guests.
