To celebrate the achievements of our soon-to-be graduates, News@Wilkes will highlight stand-out seniors throughout senior week and in the week following commencement.
Patrice Lonardi

Hometown: Harrisburg, Pa.
Activities and Achievements: Lonardi was a member of the Wilkes University Honors Program and served as a writing consultant in the Writing Center. She was also a member of the President’s Student Advisory Council, a student judge on the University Judicial Council, a delegate representing Wilkes to the 2016 University Scholars Leadership Symposium held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Lonardi also served as an Honors Program Mentor. As an intern to Jennifer Edmonds, associate dean of business in the Sidhu School of Business and Leadership, for the last five semesters, Lonardi completed four research projects. In addition to interning in the Sidhu associate dean’s office, she also completed two other internships throughout her undergraduate career.
Noteworthy: She presented a research paper and poster for the Sidhu Annual Research Day Conference entitled, “Travelocity, Expedia, or Orbitz…Examining Social Media Customer Reliability through Electronic-Word-of-Mouth (eWOM) Reviews and Interpersonal Closeness.” Lonardi was recognized with the following awards: The Award for Academic Achievement in the Management Program, The Dean’s Award for Excellence in Management, Honors Program Undergraduate Distinction Award, Best Student Research Presentation awarded at the 2018 ACBSP Conference in Kansas City, Kansas, and the Best Conference Poster Award presented at the 2017 Annual Sidhu Research Day Conference.
Favorite part of the Wilkes Experience: “The people I was fortunate enough to meet at Wilkes University were the best part and highlight of my college experience.”
Future plans: Lonardi will be working full-time in her field in the Harrisburg area.
