Wilkes University Students Present Research at Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference

Wilkes University students Matthew Finnegan and Joshua Bradley presented research papers during the Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference. The event took place Feb. 15-17 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society.

Matthew Finnegan presents his research.

Finnegan is a junior political science and international studies major. His paper was entitled “Wind Turbine Construction Projects and Their Effects on Tourism.”

Bradley is a junior political science and international studies major. His paper was entitled “The Effect of Energy Trade Dependency on Foreign Policy.”

The conference provides a platform for Pi Sigma Alpha members to present their research findings in a professional setting with opportunity for engagement with peers.

Finnegan and Bradley are research assistants with assistant professor of political science Andreea Maierean.
