UGI Utilities, Inc., recently made a gift of $40,000 to Wilkes University through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. This gift will support the Women Empowered by Science program at Wilkes University.

This program offers 6th grade girls the opportunity to engage with Wilkes faculty and science students in laboratory or field science exercises on campus over the course of the school year. This program exemplifies the University’s commitment to providing multiple opportunities for strengthening engagement with science among students in public schools.
