First National Community Bank, locally-based for over 100 years, recently made a gift to Wilkes University as part of its Educational Improvement Tax Credit commitment for 2014.
The gift will support innovative programming at Wilkes, including Science in Motion, Women Empowered by Science and Adventures in Science. These programs exemplify the University’s commitment to providing multiple opportunities for strengthening engagement with science among students in public schools.
The support of Wilkes University represents part of First National’s larger Community Caring initiative. Through outreach programs, donations and an employee volunteer network, the bank is committed to helping the communities it serves.
